Skagway, Alaska
This park celebrates the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-98 through 15 restored buildings within the Skagway Historic District. The park also administers the Chilkoot Trail and a small portion of the White Pass Trail. Included in the park is a portion of the Dyea Townsite at the foot of the Chilkoot Trail. Visit the local museums; participate in a guided tour of the Skagway Historic District;
45 minute Ranger walking tours of the Skagway Historic District begin at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., and 2 and 3 p.m. All walks begin in the visitor center lobby at Second and Broadway.
Explore nature on the local trails; tour the Dyea townsite with a Ranger; hike the Chilkoot Trail. And remember to bring your camera to record the great views.
