Daily Itinerary

Day 1 -
Fairbanks

Arrive in Fairbanks on your own today.

Day 2 - Fairbanks / Denali National Park

Depart this morning by rail to Denali National Park. The night is spent in Denali

Day 3 - Denali National Park / Anchorage

Depart to Anchorage this morning on the Alaska Railroad for a scenic trip over Hurricane Gulch, along the Sustina River and past the Mat-Su Valley.

Day 4 - Anchorage

Day at leisure. Points of interest include Museum of History and Art and the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

Day 5 - Anchorage / Glacier Bay

Fly from Anchorage to Gustavus this morning. Transfer to Glacier Bay Lodge where the remainder of your day is free to explore on your own or join a nature walk guided by a Park Service naturalist.

Day 6 - Glacier Bay / Juneau

Depart this morning on a cruise to the glaciers and icebergs. From the deck you will have a great view of any seals, sea lions or whales in the water or mountain goats, bear or bird rookeries on the islands and shoreline. The on-board naturalist will help you spot and identify the wildlife and land formations of the area. The boat returns to the lodge in time for your evening ferry to Juneau.

Day 7 - Juneau

Attractions in Alaska’s capital city include the State Museum, the Mt Roberts Tram and Mendenhall Glacier. You may want to add an optional tour such as river rafting or helicopter flightseeing.
